East Northants Faith Group

ENFG is the coordinating body representing all faith based groups in East Northamptonshire District Council area. We seek to present issues of faith as they relate to our wider community. At present we represent 70 faith based groups from all branches of the main line Christian denominations, and we have a core membership of around 20 participating and supporting church groups.

Our subsidiary organisation, East Northants Community Services (ENCS), provides a range of services to support the local community such as  Sanctuary Night Shelter for rough sleepers, Recovery House supporting those with life-controlling addictions, Rushden Food Bank, Cornerfield Café, Stepping Stones moving-on accommodation, a job club, a debt & money advice service and a redecorating service.

Learn About our Work

As an organisation we seek to co-ordinate efforts from all faith based groups involved in social action and community based endeavours. We are committed to being actively engaged in our local communities, in a real and effective way, putting faith back into the heart of society.

Help serve your local community

We have a range of volunteering opportunities to help those most at need in our community. We work with individuals and organisations, providing training and support. Without our volunteers many of the people we support would have nowhere to turn. Why not consider supporting one of our services by getting involved.

Community leaders look at how to ‘Love Your School’

Local leaders and representatives from schools, churches and charities came together for the East Northants’ Faith Group Community Leaders’ Lunch to reflect on how to ‘Love Your Local School’. Keynote speaker, Chad Chadwick, a Youth Missioner for the Church of England challenged attendees to think strategically about the way they partner with their local schools and seek to “serve them from the inside-out”. He shared on the scale of change in society over the last 20 years, particularly within the education system, and highlighted the increasing weight of pressure upon the whole school community, including parents, students and teachers.
